Multi-Client Networks

In many if not most oilfield situations, multiple different users require separate networks. Each requires a defined bandwidth between locations within the field, also links to regional and international offices. Some users simply require internet access and a phone line, others require high-bandwidth extensions of their corporate network.

Whatever the mix of requirements, it makes a lot of sense to share physical infrastructure. With shared infrastructure, proper investment can be made to ensure that it is properly supported, fully licensed, and spares are held onsite.

Hermes has enormous experience in creating shared infrastructure, including fibre, VSAT and microwave links. We provide separation at “Layer 2” meaning that the voice and data from different users is combined in the same physical pipe but remains totally separate – effectively creating private circuits within the field infrastructure.
